Caribbean Seduction is a compilation of slow romantic performances that mix American soul renditions with some distinctly Caribbean sounding songs. The latter seduce and convince and the saxophone solos add substance to Walk Away From Love, among others.
Super Blue’s opening track reminds us of his non-road march vocal skills in an engaging interpretation of I Remember. Dearest gives the reggae rhythm; Hello My Baby has the sweet Soca beat, Hey Paula introduces pan as the lead voice, Look Wah You Do, the sole up-tempo piece adds a delightful Soca cadence. The last track, Teasing Me, with its suggestive lyrics, appropriately ends a CD called Seduction. [eCaroh/Ron]
