Ken Corsbie is Caribbean Voices “3” This Mango Sweeeeet!
$15.95“I used audio recordings of live shows, despite the inevitable blips and burps. I wanted you to experience the atnosphere of being there with me. “Mangoes” “Stereotype” and “Mummy” were recorded at Braffit’s Basement in Queens NY at the second in a concert series of Guyanese entertainers. “Singing” was recorded on a beach in the Cayman Islands during their annual GIMISTORY Storytelling Festival; there are unavoidable wind noises in the microphone.”

Ken Corsbie is Caribbean Voices “4” Walls of Jericho
$15.95Listen to audio clips!
“Stand-up comedy is born out of and developed in everyday “playground and party” experiences – of listening to your parents and their friends, of “liming” on street corners and schoolyards, of acquiring a large share of cynicism; and then organizing and shaping these experiences for the stage. I’ve been lucky or damned, but at the same time it is always and joy to work with the best of the islands’ comedians before appreciative Caribbean audiences.”

Marc Matthews Smalldays with Congo Marlton, Touchteet Egbert, Smallboy, Kamal’s Six O’Clock Feeling and… Me
$15.95Marc’s “smallboy” adventure tales have become his signature stories with their beginnings back in the 1970s when the DEM TWO and ALL AH WE were touring Guyana and the West Islands. His three main characters, CARLTON, TOUCHTEET EGBERT and CARLTON were the prototype Guyanese and Caribbean free-ranging “small boys” – the same type that Dave Martins sang about in his now famous “BOYHOOD DAYS.”
Although Marc is the featured performer in the CD “MARC UP” produced by Ken Corsbie, the other person of the DEM TWO and ALL AH WE teams, “SMALL DAYS” is his first solo recording. Another CD with his poetry, is in the oven.
Marc Matthews is a prize winning poet, actor, storywriter/teller and continues to perform in the UK and Europe. He now lives in London with his artist wife Kamal.
