WITCO Desperadoes, playing a Clive Bradley’s arrangement of John Legend’s ‘Ordinary People”, copped first place in the Pan in the 21st Century 2005 competition at the Queen’s Park Savannah last Saturday evening. The band with their excellent tonal quality and general performance did wonders to the arrangement which earned them a standing ovation from the very appreciative audience. Petrotrin Phase II Pan Groove which had topped the preliminary round placed second with 285 points.
In the Down Memory Lane category, defending champs La Horquetta Pan Groove took the first place prize for the third consecutive year, playing Duvon Stewart’s arrangement of ‘Someone Loves You Honey’.
