Leston Paul can be considered the other “sweet soca man” having been the music director and arranger of many of the defining soca renditions of Baron and Crazy. Of course, we are referring to the period before soca was transformed to “race horse” pace, or the boring exercise routines of flaying one hands and feet about.

LESTON PAUL VOLUMES 1 & 2 is a compilation of his orchestrations of soca songs that will endure. Beyond the songs, the compilation also shows the smooth incorporation of synthesized sound to represent the brass lines that made his arrangements distinctive and appealing.
