Arnold Duprey and the Windjammer Band is a contemporary Caribbean jazz group with a Calypso Latin accent based in Las Vegas. Jazz De Soca is the band’s debut recording showcasing the composing and arranging skills of Mr. Duprey who is the steel pannist.
In this recording he marries jazz and calypso and Arnold Duprey’s steel pan takes a lead role with solos by James D’Arrigo – Soprano / Tenor Sax – and Brett Hansen – Electric Acoustic / Electric Guitar. The marriage works and you hear an adult contemporary and jazz fusion sound that is entertaining whether you are in a lounge in Las Vegas or liming in Trinidad & Tobago.
