Love Songs With Steelpan And Saxophone
The premise for this compilation is admirable: assemble over an hour’s worth of popular Easy Listening instrumentals by pannists and a saxophonist. Some of the artistes are well known – Clive Bradley and Earl Brooks in the pan world, as is Len Boogsie Sharpe who is also world renown as an ace pannist. Breeze is anonymous, albeit a British West Indian studio musician with competent skills. The recording works as mellow, in-the-background sounds featuring the pan. [eCaroh/Ron]
