Signal Hill Alumni Choir’s repertoire for this concert recording includes Folk, African, Reggae, Gospel, Negro Spirituals and of course, Calypso renditions. The event was held in Trinidad and Tobago on September 11 and 12, 1998. One of the eagerly awaited performances was Ray Holman’s arrangement of Merchant’s powerful O’Trinidad lyrics. “We were all blown away by the spirituality of that performance” is how Simeon Sandiford described the performance.
